What is it? What does it do?
The present invention is a storage system to help prevent the breakage of the Radial Endobronchial Ultrasound Probes (EBUS). At just under $5,000 per unit, EBUS probes are fragile and prone to breaking if mishandled, or improperly stored. The slim cabinet design is a cost effective solution that allows for storage of at least 8 EBUS Probes in a single cabinet. Each probe is stored in a manner that not only prevents breakage, but meets high level disinfection guidelines for storage. Today, EBUS probes are often stored in various types of tubing holders, such as PVC, which cannot be properly cleaned.
