Each year, Crain's Cleveland releases a list of Notable Women in STEM from Northeast Ohio. With an organization as large as Cleveland Clinic, it is no surprise that two of our researchers made the list.
Serpil Erzurum, MD, PhD is the Chair of Lerner Research Institute, as well as a practicing physician in pulmonary medicine, and champion of other women in the field. Since being named the Institute Chair in 2017, Dr. Erzurum has started the Center for Therapeutic Discovery, as well as the Population Health Research Center.
Dawn Taylor, PhD is a researcher in the department of neurosciences, focusing on how to stimulate paralyzed limbs to restore movement. She is also studying how to use deep brain stimulation to treat Parkinson's disease.
