2018 Annual Report Released

Our 2018 Annual Report highlights recent accomplishments including our 50th H.E.A.R.T. ® license, the pilot and license of the Surgical Cooling Vest, expanding integration of the eHospital monitoring system, patients treated with life-changing Enspire DBS, and future patients who will be apnea-free with the Enhale neurostimulation system. eHealth Ventures is a consortium of US and Israeli entities with the objective of incubating and funding innovation in Israel. It operates one of 19 incubators/accelerators backed by the State of Israel, via the Innovation Israel NGO. Cleveland Clinic Ventures is one of the general partners along with Maccabi, Israel’s largest HMO, SHAFA Family Office, Amgen Ventures, Medison Pharma, a leading Israeli pharma company, SCI, a Chinese VC fund, and others.

It seems like just yesterday, a talented group of veterans, engineers, designers, and other professionals gathered on an early spring evening, to launch a program with greater than realized impact. The program – the first of its kind – designed to pair well-deserving veterans with makers to help solve their, often simple, problems. At kick-off, makers learned the stories of the seven veterans chosen to take part. Stories that would leave imprints on the hearts of everyone attending. Stories that are heard too frequently from those who serve our country. Stories that left us feeling like the world should be doing more.

“Re.St.Les. to treat Epilepsy” Chosen for I-Corps@Ohio

The project team behind “Re.St.Les.” a neurosurgical platform invented at Cleveland Clinic, has been selected for the 2019 cohort of I-Corps@Ohio. This technology is a minimally-invasive alternative to open brain surgery by Drs. Jorge Gonzalez-Martinez, Andre Machado and Imad Najm to combine Recording, Stimulation and Lesioning of epileptogenic tissue into an integrated product.
