Our Cleveland Clinic Values define who we are and are essential to our culture.
“Innovation is one of our six core values at Cleveland Clinic and it runs deep. With innovation we welcome change, encourage invention and continually seek better, more efficient ways to achieve our goals,” says Will Morris, MD, Senior Medical Director Cleveland Clinic Innovations.
Our peers have recognized us and our culture of innovation, by naming us one of the 5 most innovative hospitals. Reaction Data surveyed more than 300 C-level executives, department heads and staff members from hospitals and clinics across the U.S. and asked survey participants what provider organization comes to mind as being a model for innovation, quality care at a sustainable cost and thought leadership on topics related to healthcare transformation.
We can all celebrate this recognition, as each one of us is an innovator.
“Innovation in our health systems should not be limited to the newest devices and technology. To be truly innovative, we must embrace how we think about work, who does the work and how we invest in our caregivers,” says Linda McHugh, Chief Human Resource Officer. “As a team of teams, we encourage all of our caregivers to listen, learn and challenge the status quo. Leverage our tremendous innovative ecosystem to be the best caregiver you can be. You deserve it, as do our patients.”
Don't forget to apply for the Hickey Innovation Impact Award. This is award is for an innovation that’s in line with the mission of the Hickey Family philanthropy to “improve access and deliver better care to populations of patients, communities, and regions across the globe.”
“For an inventor, taking a step towards materializing the invention is a triumph of success,” said Dr. Hani Najm, winner of the 2018 Hickey Innovation Impact Award. “This is what the Hickey foundation offers to the innovators world. It is only for such foundations the bright ideas of scientists are actualized. “
